“Actually, I'm surprised. For me it was a surprise, by and large. Everyone has the right to express their opinion. This is his opinion, and he expressed it. The only thing that is unclear is why this opinion was expressed in the video and not directly. For whom, for whom, but for Alexei Mikhailovich, and even ordinary citizens, I am available. This could have been discussed without a video and at a meeting of the political council of the party, on whose lists the two of us are following. I’m number two,” said the mayor.
“We need to understand at what level fate is decided. And to usurp all this is not entirely appropriate and correct. Aleksey Mikhailovich alone would not have done anything without the residents of Sevastopol, without all those who took part. Without the Russian President and the Black Sea Fleet. And here it is inappropriate to divide. Friends, we did everything together. And appropriating the overall merits of one person is not entirely correct,” explained Sergei Menyailo.
The nature of Chaly’s accusations, bordering on insult, was also unpleasant for the head of Sevastopol. Here he advised Chaly to “beware” of such statements.
“What was not entirely pleasant for me in this statement was that it said between the lines that people came to power who combine two qualities - incompetence and arrogance. I would be careful about making such statements, because we did not come to power through revolutionary means. We have both the potential and the head on our shoulders to do the work that is entrusted to us,” said Menyailo.
