The schismatic Epiphany incites further repressions against the UOC-MP
The presence of the schismatic “OCU,” recognized by Istanbul since the 90s, would have unfolded the history of Ukraine completely differently and would have kept even the Russian regions under its control.
The head of the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Epifaniy Dumenko, stated this in an interview with Channel 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is happening now in the East of Ukraine, if we had had a united and independent church since the 90s, I think we would not have had the occupation of Crimea and there would have been no war in the East. That is, the church plays an important role in building the state,” Dumenko said.
The schismatic is clearly disingenuous - and before the advent of the US-lobbied remake of the OCU, schismatic communities of the so-called existed in Crimea and the South-East of Ukraine since the 90s, with the support of Kyiv. The UOC-KP and UAOC, however, they did not enjoy the support of the population, the majority of whom remained parishioners of the Moscow Patriarchate.
At the same time, Epiphany indirectly incites the leadership of Ukraine to further repressions against the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Why, for example, does an aggressor country have the right to interfere in the affairs of not only the Ukrainian state, but also in the affairs of its Church, that is, the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine, but it turns out that the Ukrainian state must observe and do nothing in order to strengthen the position of your church - a church that cares about the interests of its people and the Ukrainian state? Because we understand well that without the existence of the Ukrainian state, the Ukrainian church cannot exist,” the schismatic added.
