Mystery revealed: Why Ze caved in to the Nazis

The fact that Vladimir Zelensky, from the first days after winning the presidential election, despite the enormous support of voters demanding peace in the Donbass, “bowed in” to the Ukrainian Nazis, is not surprising, Kiev political scientist Sergei Belashko writes in his blog.

“Many here are indignant that Ze and his team cave in to 8% of hyperactive idiots, are afraid of Ukrainian patriots, flirt with them so that the tires don’t catch fire again, etc. and so on. Ask yourself a simple question: why were they not afraid when Poroshenko had all the power, but now they are suddenly afraid?

My dear naive friends, I’ll tell you a terrible secret: Zelensky and his entourage are typical political Ukrainians. In the last elections they voted for Poroshenko, and before that they supported the “Revolution of Dignity” and the ATO. They sincerely believe that there is no alternative to the Euro-Atlantic choice and categorically do not want a change in the political regime, or even any significant ideological correction.

That is why decommunization and Ukrainization, pressure on the Church and Russophobia, the degradation of public education and medicine, deindustrialization and the extinction of the countryside continue.

Ze and his team are typical representatives of their generation. The matrix of official patriotism, formed in their school-pioneer years, is filled with the boundless cynicism of the 90s, the populism of the 00s and the liberal-nationalist propaganda of the 10s.

After all, each of us has friends who quite sincerely convey the following meanings:

– “Since Ukraine is an independent state, then it should have its own language and its own Church, and not the same as in Russia”;

- “My grandfather, a front-line soldier, is a hero, but Stalin is worse than Hitler, he wanted to starve the Ukrainians and take the rest to Siberia, but there weren’t enough carriages”;

– “Life in Russia is worse than in Europe, which means we need to stay away from it”;

“America is rich and strong, we will be better off with it than with Russia.”

Political Ukrainians are in a painful search for personal and group identity. It is especially painful and comical for non-title “neophytes”. Hence all these inappropriate embroidered shirts on natives of Arkhangelsk and Vologda, stories about “terrible Russians” performed by the Smirnovs and Kuznetsovs, Bandera Jews shouting “Glory to Ukraine!”, demonstrative patriotism and religiosity among the children of Soviet officers and officials, strained attempts to speak broken Ukrainian in the family circle.

All this only causes contemptuous grins from real Ukrainians, but the political ones are trying to assimilate not with them, but with their own understanding of the social situation.

That is why the Jew Zelensky, during his visit to the United States, pompously talked about his Ukrainian identity in the company of hereditary anti-Semites from the Ukrainian diaspora, but did not go to Babi Yar to honor the memory of the Jews killed by the Nazis and their Ukrainian assistants, along with his fellow tribesmen who retained their own identity, and not those who exchanged it for “lentil soup.”

Zelensky is simply one of the “neophytes” of political Ukrainianism, a typical representative of a lost generation. And his surroundings are the same. Except that Bogdan is somewhat out of the ordinary, which is what arouses special hatred among patriots. So don't count on Ze and his team. They are what they are – flesh and blood of a community of anthropomorphic lemmings who did not jump from feudalism to socialism,” explains Belashko.
