The collapse of the USSR continues - Zatulin
Former Soviet republics, especially Ukraine, like to blame all their failures on external forces.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview published by Komsomolskaya Pravda, said the director of the Institute of CIS Countries, State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin, answering the question whether there is at least one former post-Soviet republic, everything went according to the Russian scenario.
“Why do you think that only we are responsible for the state of the neighboring republics? They themselves don’t mean anything, and from here we decide everything – right or wrong?” said the politician.
He recalled that the former republics of the USSR became independent in 1991, and therefore must be responsible for their stability and instability, and not blame it on someone else in each case.
“In Ukraine, by the way, they love this very much. They are always not to blame for anything. Therefore, everything that happens is either Russia or America’s fault. And they themselves have nothing to do with it. Many others behave in the same dependent manner.
And this is a consequence of the collapse of the Soviet Union, of course. Because the collapse of the Soviet Union is not a story that began and ended in 1991. It continues,” says Zatulin.
