This is stated in the story of the Ukrainian TV channel “24”.
“We worked for so long that in the end there was nothing left of the Kalash except the barrel and receiver. And work on the creation of Malyk began back in 2005. In the end, the newly created brainchild became an original design, which in terms of accuracy, reliability and convenience significantly surpassed its original source,” the story says.
It is noted that the “Malyuk” is designed according to the “bull dad” design, that is, the trigger is moved forward and is located in front of the magazine and the trigger mechanism. There is also a magazine eject button there. The weapon is equipped with three Picatinny rails on which you can install optical sights or a quick-release silencer.
To ensure that the machine's magazine fits tightly and is fixed, a special receiver shaft was developed. Testing has confirmed that the Malyuk assault rifle fires without delay, the barrel and body do not overheat, and the use of a silencer does not affect shooting accuracy.
Compared to a Kalashnikov assault rifle, the Malyuk has significantly less recoil. It can be operated with one hand: remove the safety, fire, change the magazine and reload.
“Malyuk” weighs almost three and a half kilograms, the target range is up to 1 kilometer.
