Sale of Ukraine: only 100 objects will remain in state ownership

The head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Igor Bilous stated this in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Focus”.
“I think that as a result of privatization, about 100 objects will remain in state ownership,” says Bilous. – Nuclear energy, defense industry, and astronautics are among the untouchable sectors for now. There are objects that could be partially sold. For example, the Antonov aircraft manufacturing concern or a stake in Ukrzaliznytsia. Now the corporatization of UZ is being completed, the enterprise will become a joint-stock company, and why not sell 25% of its shares on the London or Warsaw Stock Exchange in a few years? Things like hardware cost tens of billions of dollars.”
