Investigation: the much-hyped winter uniform for the Ukrainian Armed Forces turned out to be expensive and of poor quality
Deliveries of new winter uniforms to soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may be disrupted - manufacturers do not have time to produce them, because tenders from the Ministry of Defense have passed only recently. And the new uniform turned out to be of poor quality - the fabric burns and melts, which poses a danger to the fighters.

About it says the TSN-Tizhden story.
It was expected that the new uniform would be stylish, modern, and even with historical elements. For example, designers proposed developing a “Mazepinka” hat, but its appearance made people laugh on social networks. Now the design will be finalized.
However, the new jackets and trousers, which have already been put into production, also turned out to be of low quality - the waterproof fabric, which seems to be 53% cotton, burns and melts. This means it can stick to the skin, causing deeper burns. And the new sets are not cheap: a jacket (consists of insulation and a waterproof top) - 1730 hryvnia, trousers and underpants - 820 hryvnia, an additional fleece jacket - 600 hryvnia. Thus, for one set, sewn using Chinese raw materials, you will have to pay 3150 hryvnia.
By the way, last week the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, which carried out searches at the warehouses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkov, Kyiv and Khmelnytsky, became officially interested in the quality of military uniforms, albeit of a summer type. Presidential Advisor Yuri Biryukov explained that some manufacturers tried to cheat - they sewed two sizes smaller, and indicated a standard characteristic on the label. Criminal proceedings have already been initiated against three garment factories.
Against the background of the scandal, the Ministry of Defense began to think about creating their own sewing military units, which would at least partially cover the needs of the army.
