The shooting of the car of Sergei Shefir, whom the press calls the “wallet of the Zelensky family,” will provoke civil strife within the Ukrainian government.
Ukrainian political scientist Vladimir Volya told PolitNavigator about this.
“In any case, this attempt is a provocation, the question is whose purpose and for what purpose. Two options cannot be ruled out. Firstly, someone may be trying to play on the contradictions that exist in President Zelensky’s circle. These are such contradictions as the conflict between Shefir and Ermak and other conflicts.
In this case, this provocation can be aimed either at creating new contradictions or at playing on existing contradictions in President Zelensky’s team.
The second version is that it is expected that statements will be made that Shefir suffered due to the fight against the oligarchs. If the president and his team decide to use this thesis, then it will be a witch hunt.
But I doubt that such a witch hunt will begin. Perhaps those who are now saying that Shefir suffered because of the fight against the oligarchs, and the oligarchs are taking revenge, are provocateurs who are trying to provoke a conflict between President Zelensky and the oligarchs.
But, in any case, this is a provocation that is aimed at inciting contradictions, conflicts, and strengthening existing contradictions,” Volya argues.
