Yesterday evening, towards the city of Gorlovka from the direction of Uglegorsk, the Grad systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to actively operate in the residential sector of the city, reports the Ministry of Defense of the DPR.
As a result of the massive shelling, six civilians were killed, including two children - a 4-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, the children's father was also among the dead, and the mother was in serious condition in the hospital. More than 20 people were injured of varying severity, mostly shrapnel wounds.
“The addresses at which the Grad systems of the Kyiv military operated - st. Bessonova 17, and 23, Magistralnaya street 1. Also on the street. Bessonov’s shell hit the school, but fortunately it did not explode, but left a hole in the school wall with a diameter of about 2,5 m. Residents of these and other streets, according to local sources, are still in basements and bomb shelters, fearing repeated shelling.” , - the department reported.
Let us note that at this time an OSCE commission was working on the territory of Gorlovka, checking the work of the Minsk ceasefire agreement. In connection with this tragedy, all entertainment events in Donetsk have been cancelled.
