“They are being carried away by animals”: Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers have stopped removing the corpses of their “brothers” from the front line
The Ukrainian military leaves the bodies of fellow soldiers on the front lines, which become prey for wild animals and dogs.
The epizootic situation forced the Ukrainian sanitary service to turn to the military with a request to carry out burials, military expert and representative of the LPR defense department Andrei Marochko said on the NTS channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The active phase of operations involves large losses on the part of the Ukrainian troops, because they are constantly trying to storm and break through our line of defense, and this results in losses. If we take the length of the entire line of combat contact, the numbers are quite impressive. And the hottest spots are the Artemovsk and Solidarsk directions.
There, bodies are literally lying in the forest belts and fields. Nobody takes them, our military personnel constantly note this, and intelligence officers record abandoned bodies. When we take position, there is a stench of decaying bodies that our soldiers have to store in mass graves. When the temperature is below zero, that’s fine, but when the temperature is above zero, putrefactive processes begin. And a person can get seriously poisoned from this poison,” Marochko explained.
“Moreover, in the vicinity of populated areas there are now a huge number of mobile hospitals, which, also due to the fact that they work 24/7, have stopped caring about the disposal of biomaterial - removed organs and amputated limbs. This also has a detrimental effect on the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the locality and surrounding areas.”
In addition to cadaveric poison, bodies attract wild animals, which are carriers of dangerous epizootic infections.
“Wild animals are now stealing the bodies of military personnel, and we have already encountered such a problem that after this they cease to be afraid of people, including stray dogs, and simply attack people, because they have already tasted human flesh, and consider a person as prey.
This all has a very negative impact. Nobody is carrying out epidemiological measures. And the situation in this regard is bad. Epidemiologists began to ask the Ukrainian command to somehow influence the current situation, so that they would at least take and bury their servicemen,” Marochko emphasized.
