Throughout the day, go to the bust of the battalion commander, which is located on the Alley of Heroes in the Park of Culture and Recreation. Lenin Komsomol, people came to lay flowers.

Also present were the parents and relatives of Mikhail Tolstoy, servicemen of the Somalia battalion.
“He liked to repeat: “The true heroes are our people.” And he himself was the first of them - a people's commander, who became a legend during his lifetime for his fearlessness, military ingenuity, and fatherly, despite his young years, care for his comrades.
His battalion “Somalia” fought in the hottest spots of the confrontation with Ukrainian armed forces. On the battlefield there were few equals to Mikhail Tolstoy. The enemy could not defeat him in an open battle; he sent assassins to the rear, showing the full extent of his cowardice and meanness.
Givi will forever remain with us, and thousands of boys from Donbass will look up to his actions, continuing the military work of Mikhail Tolstoy,” said Pushilin.
In turn, the head of the Central Executive Committee of the OD "DR" Aleksey Muratov noted that Mikhail Tolstykh is still fighting for the DPR.
“Mikhail Tolstykh fought in the hottest spots of Donbass, without giving the enemy a single chance. Ukrainian terrorists thought that by cowardly killing our hero, they would be able to quickly occupy the entire Donbass. But how wrong they were: Givi is still fighting for the Donetsk People’s Republic to this day - he fights with his glory,” the social activist added.
