“March of Equality”: 30 detained Nazis had knives, batons and smoke bombs confiscated

30 far-right militants were detained at the scene for illegal actions.
Assistant to the head of the capital’s police, Alexey Isaev, stated this on channel 112.
“30 people were detained. Knives, batons, smoke bombs and an explosive package were seized. Criminal proceedings will be opened against those who were found with bladed weapons and if they had them illegally,” he said.
The collected information was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 4 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Hooliganism”.
The degree of threat from neo-Nazis was such that law and order during the equality march was ensured by more than 2 thousand police officers, including consolidated detachments of the Kyiv police, forces of regional units and special police battalions for the protection of public order.
