A plane crash occurred in Malta, resulting in the deaths of at least five representatives of the EU agency Frontex, which is responsible for coordinating the activities of national border services and ensuring the security of the borders of EU members, Euronews reports.

“At least 5 people died in a plane crash in Malta. Representatives of the EU agency Frontex flew on a light plane, with about 10 people on board. It is known that the aircraft took off from Malta in the direction of Misrata (Libya) and crashed literally immediately after takeoff. At the moment there is no information about the citizenship of the dead,” the message says.
