This is stated in bill No. 6401, registered in the Rada on April 20.
It is proposed to make corresponding changes to the Code of Administrative Offences.
The current version of Art. 44 provides that the illegal production and acquisition of drugs is punishable by a fine of 25 to 50 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (425-850 hryvnia) or community service from 20 to 60 hours, or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to withdraw the rule on administrative arrest and increase the minimum fine from 25 to 30 non-taxable minimums (510 hryvnia).
The bill also provides for the abolition of administrative arrest for driving a defective vehicle and driving ships while intoxicated.
The government also proposes to reduce the period for considering an appeal in cases of administrative arrest from 20 to 3 days.
