Ukrainian saboteurs from the Ukrainian Armed Forces planned attacks on representatives of the OSCE SMM. LPR State Security Minister Leonid Pasechnik announced this at a briefing in Lugansk.
According to him, the task of the sabotage group was to eliminate international observers.

“On June 30, 2017, the MGB duty station received a message about the presence of an unknown car at the exit from the Kamenobrodsky district of Lugansk. An MGB investigative team was sent to the indicated location. A VAZ2101 car with Vinnytsia region license plates was found in a forest belt along a country road. During the inspection of the vehicle, special insignia of the Ukrainian army and a disabled video recorder were discovered and confiscated. Our specialists managed to recover data obtained from the video device, which indicates preparation for an assassination attempt on representatives of the OSCE monitoring mission. Presumably, one of the group members was involved in the bombing of the observers’ car on April 23, 2017... It was established that the Ukrainian DRG monitored the movement routes of international observers,” Pasechnik said.
