Ukrainian designers accused the authorities of corruption and reluctance to put into production the legendary Ukrainian Kolchuga radar.

Alexander Butnik-Seversky, general director of the Innovation and Technology Group consortium, one of the authors of scientific developments, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, representatives of the authorities and the Ukroboronprom concern hope to receive personal benefits from the production of Kolchuga.
“For the third year now, Ukroboronprom officials and their patrons have not given the opportunity to launch production of Kolchugas. This is a long-range strategic reconnaissance station, which is the best in the world today. The technology costs more than $100 million. I think that officials are thinking of cashing in on this technology by selling “Kolchuga”... Moreover, there were several resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers that were not implemented... Flagrant violations of everything that can be violated. I emphasize once again, under the auspices of the highest authorities,” said Butnik-Seversky.
