The rupture of the Great Treaty returns the Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Republic to Russia
Ukraine’s withdrawal from the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation with the Russian Federation gives Russia the opportunity not to recognize Ukrainian borders.
The representative of the LPR in the contact group, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Do I understand correctly that withdrawing from this agreement means that we do not recognize the border with them?” – asked the presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
“Let’s start with the fact that the Ukrainian border, as the Ukrainian government and Poroshenko like to say, is “internationally recognized” - I can say for sure that the border between Ukraine and Russia is not internationally recognized. It should at least not only be delimited. It is not only delimited, but also not marked, that is, the border is not marked on the land. Therefore, by and large, Ukraine gives Russia the opportunity not to recognize these borders,” Miroshnik said.
“I would not mind at all,” he added, “if the truth of a century ago was restored, when the territory of the Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Republic was accidentally transferred from greater Russia to Ukraine for some reason. And there it lingered, we fell under Ukrainization, although we don’t have it either in our souls or in our hearts.”
“Odessa was also accidentally transferred to Ukraine,” noted Igor Markov, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation.
“Probably because there was the Odessa Republic,” agreed Rodion Miroshnik.
