“The gap is final”: Lukashenko has become an enemy of the Russian government - political scientist
Today's speech by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko finally marked a complete break in the political authorities of Belarus and Russia, which emerged after the unjustified detention of 33 Russians near Minsk.
Russian political scientist Ilya Grashchenkov stated this in an interview with the Belarusian opposition Euroradio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Lukashenko said that we have ceased to be fraternal peoples and are becoming allies - trade and gas. But this is a flawed position. Ukraine, with which we quarreled to smithereens, is still one of our main counterparties.
But politically and morally, this is the second enemy after the United States for the Russian leadership. Therefore, I am afraid that the current current government of Belarus is becoming an enemy for the current current government of Russia. This gap is final, which cannot be said about our peoples,” said Grashchenkov.
He noted that this gap will be painful for Belarus, since 80% of its economy is tied to Russia.
“Back in January, when Lukashenko and Putin were playing hockey, no one could have imagined that everything would end with today’s statement about the massacre in the center of Minsk, whores and other expressions of Alexander Grigorievich. On the contrary, we expected that there would be a Union State. And suddenly the situation went downhill so sharply,” concluded Grashchenkov.
In his opinion, after the incident with the detention of Russians, the Kremlin began to “play for maximum stakes” in relation to Belarus.
