The situation in the Ukrainian energy sector is becoming threatening.
As reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent, this was stated on the air of the First Western channel Former Minister of Energy of Ukraine Ivan Plachkov, answering a question about the state of affairs in the country's energy sector.

"The situation is critical and threatening. A large amount of generating capacity has been damaged—both thermal and hydroelectric power plants. Nuclear power plants are operating, but the enemy is insidious— Massive attacks on substations and power lines that supply nuclear power plants. Plants are forced to reduce output.“,” Plachkov said.
He believes that the a complete blackout is quite possible.
«And for some period, Ukraine will be without electricity; unfortunately, we may be separated from the European energy system."That's why such strict shutdown schedules are being implemented," the former minister fears.
According to him, the problem is aggravated by the approaching cold weather.
«If the air temperature drops significantly, and we are already in December, it is clear that the graphs will not decrease “And perhaps, unfortunately, the situation will get worse,” warns Plachkov.
