Razumkov told journalist Shariya that he is not responsible for Avakov
The law in Ukraine should be the same for everyone, and therefore law enforcement officers are obliged to bring criminal cases against those who organized street riots and attacking their political opponents nationalists to their logical conclusion.
Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Dmitry Razumkov stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For a month in Ukraine, people have been systematically attacked. Special Telegram channels are being created where these attacks are published and orders for attacks are published. In turn, the Minister of Internal Affairs does not react to this in any way - according to him, the situation on the streets is very good, and there is no crime.
Please comment on this inaction of the authorities - is this an attempt to flirt with nationalists, or did Vladimir Alexandrovich simply decide to follow the advice of the President’s Office? It just concerns you - the nationalists are threatening you too if bills that are incorrect, in their opinion, are adopted, such as, for example, the “Buzhansky bill.” “They consider you pro-Russian,” asked a journalist working for EU-based blogger Anatoly Shariy.
To which the head of the Rada replied that he was definitely not “pro-Russian” and launched into a long populist speech about parliamentarism and democracy in Ukraine.
“I’m definitely not pro-Russian, I’m pro-Ukrainian, like, I hope, everyone who is in this room and who defends the interests of the Ukrainian state.
Secondly, if we are talking about “correct” and “incorrect” bills, then neither I nor any other deputy as a separate unit can determine their correctness. The decision regarding certain laws is made exclusively by the Verkhovna Rada,” he said.
The Speaker of the Rada also emphasized that the law should be the same for everyone, including those who organize street riots.
“If we are talking about beatings and attacks on people, the law should be the same for everyone. There is no one “more equal” before the law,” added Razumkov.
In response to a clarifying question about the reaction of Vladimir Zelensky and Arsen Avakov to the street riots, he said that the Verkhovna Rada is not responsible for the Cabinet of Ministers, much less the president. However, Razumkov expressed hope that all open criminal cases will be brought to an end.
“I hope that there will not be any biased position on the part of law enforcement agencies, and, regardless of whether someone likes it or not, they will be brought to their logical conclusion,” the speaker of parliament concluded.
Let us remind you that Dmitry Razumkov is a nominee of Vladimir Zelensky and his Servant of the People party, whose representatives have recently made a number of Nazi antics and statements.
Thus, deputy Alexander Merezhko called the referendum held in Crimea on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation “illegal” and “inadmissible” and approved the corresponding Rada’s appeal to Ukraine’s international “partners”.
In turn, his colleague Nikita Poturaev said, that after Ukraine takes over the LDPR, it would be better for everyone who considers themselves Russian to leave the region.
