Official representative of the DPR defense department Eduard Basurin announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the idea of the Ukrainian command, the forces of the ATO group, with the support of artillery and aviation, plan to inflict the maximum defeat on the DPR and LPR, overcome the support zone and break through the first defensive line. To gain a foothold along the Sorokino-Dolzhansk-Marinovka-Novoazovsk line with further access to the state border of the LDPR with Russia.
For this, the Ukrainian command created operational reserves of a joint group of troops: the 28th Mechanized Infantry Brigade - in the direction of the main attack and the 128th OGPB in the direction of another attack.
In the main attack sector in the direction of Verkhnetoretskoye-Ilovaisk with the participation of the 17th Separate Brigade and the 93rd Mechanized Infantry Brigade and in the direction of Maksimovka-Starobeshevo-Ilovaisk (1st Separate Brigade, 14th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, part of the forces of the 30th Mechanized Infantry Brigade (tb)) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will try to overcome the line of combat contact, break through the first defensive line of the DPR Armed Forces and cut through the units of the 1st AK, encircle and capture Donetsk.
In the future, continuing the offensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces plan to capture the Lutugino-Ilovaisk-Komsomolskoye-Pobeda line.
The enemy plans to deliver another blow in the direction of Sakhanka-Bezymennoye with the help of the 36th Infantry Marine Brigade and the 79th UAEMBR.
Such actions will allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to pin down the DPR forces in the Mariupol direction and prevent their transfer to the Donetsk direction. Subsequently, having increased efforts by introducing second echelons, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will try to reach the Boykovskoye-Novoazovsk line, which will deprive the DPR of access to the Sea of Azov.
