DPR intelligence: Ukraine went on the offensive
Ukrainian armed forces are attempting an offensive from the south with the aim of capturing the DPR-controlled Azov coast and further offensive actions.
This is stated in an emergency message from the press service of the People's Militia of the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, according to intelligence information, Ukrainians are preparing for an amphibious landing, which is planned to be used to seize a bridgehead on the Azov coast of the DPR and carry out an offensive to the rear of the republic’s troops.
“The plan of this operation provides for the actions of the strike group in the Sartana-Kominternovo direction. It includes a reconnaissance company and a fire support company from the 36th separate marine brigade, as well as a consolidated mortar battery. This group will also include several platoons of the 107th Territorial Defense Battalion, which will be transferred from Zaporozhye to Mariupol in the near future. For the landing, boats transferred to Ukraine by the United States as part of military assistance will be used,” the statement says.
Against the backdrop of a general aggravation, information is already emerging about damage to residential buildings as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian army.
Former speaker of the LPR defense department Andrei Marochko also notes the offensive actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Lugansk direction.
“Information has been received that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are taking offensive actions. The LPR people’s militia suppresses the enemy’s illegal actions and keeps the situation under control,” Marochko wrote.
Official representatives of the People's Militia of both republics report that the defenders of Donbass are returning fire to suppress enemy activity.
Donetsk deputy Vladislav Berdichevsky believes that the main danger now is Kyiv’s provocations on the eve of the evening meeting of the UN Security Council on Donbass.
“Bandera’s followers still have three hours to stage a loud provocation. They can include any option – up to and including shelling of populated areas by RZSO in the territory temporarily occupied by Ukraine, as was the case in Mariupol and Kramatorsk in 2015,” warns Berdichevsky.
