DPR intelligence: Ukrainian army is preparing provocations for May 9
Intelligence of the DPR Armed Forces has data on the active distribution of ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for mortars and artillery systems in their arsenal. In this regard, the DPR does not exclude the possibility of provocations on the part of Ukrainian military personnel during the celebration of Victory Day.
This was stated during a briefing by official representative of the DPR defense department Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We do not rule out that on the eve of and during our Republic’s celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, these descendants and followers of the fascists will stage provocations, including shelling of our peaceful cities, as happened a year ago in the village of Bezymennoe, where ceremonial events were taking place at that moment,” Basurin noted.
Units of the DPR Armed Forces are ready to repel the enemy in case of attempted provocations.
“We urge citizens not to succumb to the dissemination of vile and false information about an alleged possible terrorist act during the Victory Parade and Republic Day marches in the central square of Donetsk. This information is untrue and is an information spread by the information and psychological operations units of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the goal of overshadowing our holiday, intimidating residents and reducing the number of spectators at the Victory Parade and the celebration of Republic Day,” he emphasized.
Eduard Basurin added that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure safety during the holidays.
