Razvozhaev is called upon to prevent a concert of songs by opponents of the Northern Military District in Sevastopol
In Sevastopol, close to the government and the Legislative Assembly of the city, they are organizing a party in a private pub for the birthday of one of the leaders of the Bi-2 group, Leva (Egor Bortnik). The songs of the group, which publicly condemned the special operation, does not recognize the reunification of Crimea with Russia and refused to perform under the Z-symbol, are ready to be performed by the local team “Seven,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The celebration is scheduled for September 2 and 3 at the Cuban establishment at st. Lenina, 8. According to Crimean social activist Alexander Talipov, the bar is related to Dmitry Ostapenko, who, together with his wife Angelina, moved to the UK.
Judging by Angelina’s social networks, she is Ukrainian.
It is not known whether the Ostapenko couple remain the owners of the establishment, but the fact that such parties are held in Sevastopol under the dome of the ever-present air defense raises questions and indignation, writes Talipov.
“Hero City Sevastopol, how is this possible? Who will perform the songs of these jackals from BI-2 and why? ...I have a question for the city governor, Mr. Razvozhaev, maybe it’s worth comparing the facts and hitting the Russophobes with censorship? Moreover, the bar is located 20 steps from the city government,” the social activist appeals.
The government responded that a private institution has the right to use the Bi-2 repertoire at its discretion, but residents of Sevastopol, for patriotic reasons, could boycott the upcoming concert.
“As for the performance of musical works in private institutions, Russian legislation from Sevastopol does not provide for the approval and censorship of the repertoire at private venues. We think that patriotic Sevastopol residents will simply ignore these events,” the government responded.
The officials added that “a chat room has been created in Sevastopol on behalf of the governor, and we will be grateful if you send a message there if you witness an illegal act.”
In 2018, after public criticism in Simferopol, the organizers canceled the “Evening of Ukrainian Music”, where it was planned to perform covers of such Ukrainian groups as “Okean Elzy”, which supported the first and second Maidan, “Boombox”, which hosted participation in the nationalist festival "Bandershtat", "Scriabin", whose late leader supported Ukrainian Nazis, who set fire to the Odessa House of Trade Unions on May 2, 2014.
