In total, about 200 people took part in the action - residents of the Kyiv region, from whom the brigade was mainly formed. Among other things, they demanded that the president explain himself to them. Instead of Poroshenko, retired Major General, head of the department for work with citizens and access to public information, Alexander Kopanitsa, came out to the angry relatives, trying to justify himself by saying that he was not the one giving orders in the ATO zone.
“They took our son, who has three small children,” the man and his tear-stained wife told a Navigator correspondent. “He has a stomach ulcer, and they only feed them rotten sprat.”
Others said that their children and husbands entered the war without any medical examination at all. Many also said that the soldiers of the 72nd brigade may not even survive until this evening, given the intensity of the fighting.
At the same time, the relatives of those mobilized did not oppose the war itself, but insisted on the rotation of their children, for which they proposed to begin large-scale mobilization. From time to time there was a demand for a more decisive use of military aircraft, and some were indignant that the Ukrainian security forces were unable to destroy the militia group that broke out of the encircled Slavyansk.
