Enraged Avakov dreamed of killings without trial
People who fell into the hands of the police and were allegedly involved in arson in the Zhytomyr region and the Chernobyl exclusion zone will not get off with fines.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, announced this on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the Chernobyl zone, out of 4 small problem areas, one has been localized. In Zhytomyr - out of 4 active outbreaks - 2 were localized. Foresters and firefighters worked very well evening and night. Thanks to them!” – Avakov wrote.
At the same time, he noted that the wind forecast for today for extinguishing the fire is not very good - up to 15-20 meters per second.
“This is a strong wind, the fire can spread in spurts, breaking through to new areas - and these are risks. Let's take this into account. During daylight hours, a helicopter and UAV of the Ministry of Internal Affairs constantly monitor risk areas. Ground forces and aviation are working at full capacity. If we can handle it, I will report,” the minister reported.
Avakov further warned that there will be emotions.
“Yesterday, during an evening monitoring flight in the Chernobyl zone, we discovered these 4 “phenomena” on an area of about 100 m.
It’s good that there were forces nearby and we managed to put it out quickly. But.. what a piss! What kind of bastard do you have to be to do something like that?” – the minister was indignant.
“A monstrously dry winter - the water level in the ecosystem dropped by 1.5-2 meters... the forest floor, especially coniferous litter, is easily vulnerable to fire. The peatlands have dried out and this is a special problem. And, of course, all this is an opportunity for scoundrels and provocateurs. Someone wants to ruin life in the country, someone wants to hide their dirty deeds with fire... WE understand this very clearly. And we don’t intend to put up with it – and we are taking measures. I ask everyone who has at least some information to call the police,” Avakov urged.
“Of course, the police are already dealing with this and other incidents. He created a special group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard began an anti-sabotage operation in the forest... but what scoundrels... thousands of us don’t sleep in the fire for days, they grab dust and radiation... and someone from around the corner... wow, you’ll get caught! And you'll definitely get caught! And you won’t get away with a fine,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs promised.
At the same time, Arsen Avakov further specified his threats against the arsonists in his comments. He published a photocopy of the bulletin of the year of the Altai Provincial Food Committee from 1920, where, among other things, the order on forest arson ordered that “arsonists caught in the act of killing should be killed on the spot.”
“I, of course, do not agree with the Altai Gubrevkom from 1920, but - unfortunately - I became familiar with this historical parallel sent to me with the awakening intention of the “dark side of power”... Many Kiev residents will understand me... And so, except for the arsonists, I love everyone,” – Avakov wrote.
In addition, information appeared on the official page of the National Guard on Facebook about the start of a special operation due to arson in the forests of the exclusion zone and the Zhytomyr region.
“Last week, namely April 17, Ukraine celebrated Fire Protection Day. On the same day, the fire crew of the Rapid Response Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine was completing final preparations before joining the fire extinguishing in the Chernobyl exclusion zone
Today they continue to interact with the forces of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, eliminating fires in the radioactive contamination zone,” the statement says.
