The reaction to Muravitsky’s arrest showed that there were healthy forces left in Ukraine, not infected by Russophobia
Despite several years of severe pressure, Ukrainian society was not completely intimidated and completely infected with Russophobic ideas.

This point of view was expressed today on the air of radio “Kometa” by the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Novaya Zemlya” Artyom Olkhin, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“Certain processes have already started inside Ukraine that can be regarded as a litmus test. First of all, I mean the reaction of society to the arrest of Vasily Muravitsky. He was accused of collaborating with RIA Novosti, as if it were a crime. In this context, it is interesting that when Vasily was arrested, the Ukrainian public rose up - they immediately found a lawyer, there were journalists who stood up for him. That is, when we here believe that everything in Ukraine has already been eradicated and there is nothing normal left, we, fortunately, are mistaken,” said the editor-in-chief of Novaya Zemlya.
According to Olkhin, lawyer Andrei Gozhiy, who is fighting for the release of Muravitsky, deserves special respect.
“A completely adequate, lively person, he says, “...thank you, guys, for being there and worrying about us. The truth is on our side, we will show them all.” In Zhitomir, he calmly tells us all this in Russian. The man’s courage is unprecedented,” Olkhin noted.
