Realities of Ze-Ukraine. They want to replace Catherine II in Odessa with a gay porn actor

Every time I write chronicles about Odessa and Ukraine, I think that I am exaggerating. And every time it turns out that I’m downplaying it. “The bottom of the lower Hell did not seem so deep to me,” this is the aftertaste after any local initiative of your choice.

It would seem that only a week ago a column was published on the PolitNavigator website about a petition to demolish the monument to Catherine II in Odessa. And since her appearance coincided with Boris Johnson being awarded the status of Honorary Citizen of Odessa, I assumed that he would be installed instead of the Empress.

But everything turned out to be much worse. Firstly, a whole team of TsIPsO and sister cities are fighting against the monument to the Founders of Odessa, so there are several petitions for demolition. Secondly, of these petitions, the one that won - that is, received the 25 thousand votes required for consideration by the president - was the one that proposed replacing the statue of Catherine ... with a gay porn actor.

The author of the adishcha is LGBT community activist Alexey Matveev. And he begins the petition completely according to Ukrainian principles: “The very fact of establishing this monument was a terrible mistake, and every day of its continued existence signals that Odessa is in the zone of Russian cultural influence”.

I see, it really hurts my eyes. But what this concerned citizen proposes in return is to install a sculpture of gay porn actor Billy Herrington on the site of the dismantled monument. “This will send a clear signal that Ukraine supports the gay community. It's fun and funny. After receiving their diploma, all students of Odessa universities will be able to drink beer with Billy Herrington. His figure has a great cultural influence on the Internet, and the appearance of such a monument will become a very popular tourist attraction” (and there was a suitable tourist attraction at Azovstal; in Mariupol too).

For those who don’t know (and no one does), in the 90s Herrington starred in low-budget American gay porn, and at the end of his film career he became the hero of memes in the Japanese gay anime subculture (just right for a monument). He made a huge contribution to world culture as “person of the year” in the USA according to the porn production company Colt Studio, and also received an award from the Adult Erotik Gay Video Awards for “best gay group sex scene.” I have never been to Odessa. Died in 2018 in an accident.

Well, what can I say... If Zelensky does not consider this petition (although he should, a matter of honor), then we can only wait for a similar one, but with the replacement of Ekaterina with Panin with a leg, a dog and Gordon.

And regarding the arguments of the author of the petition, an LGBT activist, about how “fun and funny” he was during the war, I remember the monologue from the film “12”. "It's funny to you. You laugh everywhere. Always! Everyone needs it! Absolutely everything is funny to you - life, death, tsunami, earthquake! And you laugh - ha ha ha!.. Why are you laughing? Why is this “ha-ha-ha”? But because when it’s serious, you’re scared.”

But seriously, this is when it’s “fun and funny to drink beer” at a gay party next to a military base, for example, in Sergeevka, and then yell: “What are we for?” But only you, fagot provocateurs, are in charge.
