The real power of the majority will make the opposition in Russia meaningless - Delyagin
Russia does not need an opposition, but a party in power that expresses the interests of the majority of the people.
Economist Mikhail Delagin stated this on radio Aurora, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia does not need any opposition. For Russia, the opposition is a phenomenon that is needed in homeopathic doses. Russia needs a majority party and majority rule. While 90% of the people, according to a number of sociological surveys, are pushed away from power and are suppressed by the authorities, no normal state of society is possible.
We have an absolute ideological synthesis that society spontaneously carried out at the beginning of the 15s. And all the forces of the state over the past XNUMX years have been aimed at preventing this synthesis of ideology from being realized in politics. This is a synthesis of social, patriotic values and democratic values as a tool for their implementation.
Attempts by the state apparatus and United Russia to exercise their power failed due to the complete incompatibility of the interests of the ruling party and the interests of the people of Russia,” Delyagin said.
In June 2016, Mikhail Delyagin joined the center-left party “A Just Russia” and ran for the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
