For the first time, Ukrainian Maria Krestyanskaya began swimming across the English Channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the swimmer’s Facebook page.

“I’ve been swimming in the canal for about an hour, good!” – the athlete wrote.
If successful, the girl will become the first Ukrainian to swim across the English Channel. Maria started her swim today at 11.00 (13.00 Kyiv time) UK time
The girl is accompanied by the boat Sea Farer II. The team will broadcast live from the boat.
