“Reforms” have driven schools in the Ukrainian province into poverty

Due to the fact that, as a result of “reforms,” school funding was transferred to local budgets, educational institutions in small towns and villages of Ukraine were left without funds. Alexey Doroshenko, director of the Ukrainian Association of Retail Chain Suppliers, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“In large cities there is a budget surplus, there is more money, and, accordingly, more money goes to schools. But in regional centers, villages, and towns there is less money and less funding. There's nothing you can do about it. We got a good picture in large cities, and a problem with schools in small ones,” he says.
