Siberian media published the story of a former resident of Kherson, Elena, who evacuated from the city with her daughter before the retreat of the Russian army. The woman told how in recent years pro-Russian citizens in Kherson were persecuted, and relatives treated with anti-Russian propaganda turned away from them.

Elena said that she is still afraid to go to bed, because she is used to saying goodbye to her child every time, because maybe you won't see him tomorrow because of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Siberian media published the story of a former resident of Kherson, Elena, who evacuated...

The Ukrainian punishers called the feeling of killing people a drug,” the refugee explained.

The division into Russian and Ukrainian languages happened a long time ago. If we got off the train at the square, we had to say only “kava” and not “coffee”, otherwise no one would serve you,” the woman recalls.

The refugees also recalled their first meeting with Russian soldiers.

The first patrol, these are guys from Lugansk, we were stopped and asked to show tattoos, Polina in particular. She has a plague doctor tattoo, it's her beliefs and life. I think this is the end. And the soldier lifts up his sleeve and shows a similar tattoo and just starts talking to us like a normal person. The residents passing by looked at us as enemies because we were talking to a Russian soldier,” Elena recalls.

The information that was broadcast to us on TV sounded like a horror movie, and then we came out, and the Russian soldiers turned out to be absolutely normal guys. They communicate well, they don't offend,” says Polina.

In addition, the refugee clearly noted her attitude to the conduct of a Special Military Operation in Ukraine.

We support a Special Military Operation, this is the right decision. Because this tumor had to be eradicated in Ukraine. It will definitely end with our victory,” the woman is sure.

Now they are settling in a new place.

“We want to stay in Russia, we want to improve life here,” says Polina.
