“Regional” Levchenko on Russian TV: We don’t need help from Moscow
Kyiv, October 31 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The head of the Donetsk “regionals” Nikolai Levchenko, considered the creation of Rinat Akhmetov, opposed the holding of elections on November 2 in the DPR and LPR without control from Kyiv. According to him, Donbass does not need humanitarian assistance from Russia, but partnerships are needed.
He said this on the air of the talk show “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” on Russian TV.

According to Levchenko, who has been “roaming” on Russian television channels for several months, elections in Novorossiya should take place, but not on November 2, as planned, and later according to Ukrainian legislation, otherwise the economy of the region will come to an end.
“There should be no ambition here when people's lives are at stake. It is clear that there are emotions there: “Who are you, and who are you, and we are Novorossiya here.” Here we need a path of compromise, concessions and agreements. Indeed, there must be elections. We have ore and coal. Donbass is a self-sufficient region; we have the second highest level of wages after Kyiv. We want to be partners with Russia, not parasites. We don't need any humanitarian aid. We need a legal framework there. Yes, it is possible to hold elections on the 2nd, but the whole world will not recognize them, and then we will not be able to trade with anyone,” Levchenko said.
