“Regional” Efremov could be imprisoned for 6 years, - GPU
Kyiv, July 29 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine confirmed information about the opening and investigation of criminal proceedings against the leader of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Regions, Alexander Efremov.

“Based on a statement by the Main Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, information about a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code, that is, “abuse of power or official position,” said GPU adviser Yuri Boychenko.
“The statement from the public organization says that Alexander Efremov put pressure on civil servants of one of the state-owned enterprises in the Lugansk region during the procurement procedure for services related to the installation of mining equipment and low-voltage equipment. Now the GRU is conducting investigative actions in this criminal proceeding to verify the statement of the public organization. The sanction of the article that I mentioned provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment from 3 to 6 years,” Boychenko said.
