Chairman of the Association of Farmers of the Dnepropetrovsk Region Anatoly Gaivoronsky stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Raiders know they will get away with it,” he said.
Gaivoronsky gave examples of the seizure of two farms, for which criminal cases were opened, but there was no result. The victims appealed to the anti-raid commission, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv, but since it rarely meets and considers a small number of cases, this also did not produce results.
“She is only on paper, she does not play the role she should play. In fact, she gathered only twice in three months. All this is done because the roofing is at the highest level. Protected by the Prosecutor General's Office and the police and justice. They (the raiders) feel absolutely unpunished,” said Anatoly Gaivoronsky.
According to People's Deputy of Ukraine from the Samopomich faction, member of the interdepartmental commission on the protection of investors' rights under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ivan Miroshnichenko, since the beginning of 2017, more than 700 unfriendly mergers and acquisitions have occurred in Ukraine. “This is an aggressive, undercover activity – robbery in broad daylight,” the deputy said.
According to the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, every fourth farmer in Ukraine has encountered raiding, and 70% of farmers know about cases of raiding in their region.
