This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Correspondent” by Zoryan Shkiryak, adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
“As for the dismissal of the Yatsenyuk government and the fall in the ratings of his party, I must say that this is the result of a planned attack by pro-Russian and destructive internal forces, which was initiated precisely because it was the Yatsenyuk government that was the most effective in the entire history of Ukraine,” - confirms the publication's interlocutor.
“People will still evaluate our “bloody pastor”, and Arseniy Yatsenyuk, and Minister Avakov, history will judge us,” Shkiryak assures. – But it was Yatsenyuk’s government that prevented Ukraine from completely sliding into the socio-economic abyss and was able to hold the country together. But the most important thing is that it was able to do everything to prevent the Russian aggression from ending with Russian tanks on the streets of Kyiv. I think history will evaluate and judge us. And I will say frankly: I am proud to be a representative of the “Kyiv junta”, I am proud that the Ukrainian people and our armed forces did everything to prevent the aggressor from dividing Ukraine along the Dnieper in 2014-2015.”
