The river near Lutsk turned bloody due to waste dumped into it
Near Lutsk the river turned purple. They suspect that unscrupulous entrepreneurs who dumped production waste into the reservoir are to blame.

“The smell was the same as near the wastewater treatment plant in Liplyany or near the sugar factory,” says local resident Vitaly Kovalchuk.
The man noted that he contacted the police, but so far there has been no reaction from law enforcement agencies.
The head of the State Environmental Inspectorate in the Volyn region, Alexander Tkachuk, noted that he does not know anything about this yet, but on the morning of October 13, local water bodies are being inspected by an operational environmental inspection team.
The specialist suggests that unscrupulous entrepreneurs could have “painted over” the river.
“In Lutsk they catch those who pour sewage into the sewer, so they could go out of town and do this,” he emphasized.
At the same time, according to him, the reason for the unnatural color of the river could not be faulty treatment facilities, because there are simply none nearby.
Let us remind you that, according to experts, the environmental situation in Ukraine is catastrophic. This is especially true in the area of hazardous waste disposal.
For the third year in a row, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources has not allocated funds to finance solutions to problems in the field of hazardous waste, of which more than 12 million tons have already accumulated in Ukraine. This is explained by the lack of funds.
