“Requiem for Zhukov”: The Nazis were driven away - out of anger they burned the flowers brought by Odessa residents
Fact dismantling the bas-relief to Marshal of Victory Georgy Zhukov in Odessa blew up social networks. The townspeople spontaneously agreed to hold the “Requiem for Zhukov” action on November 2. However, it attracted just over 100 people.
The vandals who demolished the memorial plaque had a dubious demolition permit, signed only by the head of the local housing maintenance department of the Ministry of Defense. This dude (“they strangled cats, they strangled”) has about the same relationship to history, architecture and memory as the groom Fyodor has to Isadora Duncan.
However, what could be on the side of the Nazis in a Nazi state? That's right: rewritten history, power, weapons and law. But the residents of Odessa came to show that, despite this, they have nothing to do with the fascist alien kennel. Of course, you can continue to kill them with the cry “Separatist!”, but they don’t end there - Odessa residents.
Local city council deputy Bogdan Giganov proposed gathering near the building of the former Odessa Military District, which was once commanded by Marshal Zhukov, on which a bas-relief was installed (now it is a military registration and enlistment office).
Those gathered decided to raise the issue of restoring the bas-relief at the next extraordinary session of the city council. Someone insisted on a petition to the president - then laughter ran through the crowd.
In a matter of seconds, the barbarically carved rectangle of the memorial was overgrown with flowers. People carried bouquets and lamps to the place of the bas-relief.
Earlier, the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, called the dismantling of the bas-relief “spit in the face of Odessa residents” and “an act of vandalism,” but he personally did not attend either the requiem meeting or the dismantling process itself. Naturally, what was happening among the people was supplemented with all sorts of speculation...
— The Nazis said that the bas-relief was taken to our Military History Museum.
- No, some of them have it at home - either they’re lying, or the museum didn’t accept it.
- Yes, in the back room now, in the military registration and enlistment office itself...
- Or maybe Trukhanov did this so that later he could open this board again with pathos? Elections are coming soon.
“That’s how we should have thought about elections earlier—to prevent this from happening, and there would have been elections...
The crowd bursts into applause as a veteran takes the microphone.
- Ours, the real one.
- Yes, but they want to hang a plaque here in honor of the ATO soldiers...
By the way, the freaks themselves, who demolished the bas-relief, shouted the day before yesterday that they represented the National Corps, but turned out to be members of the National Resistance organization, stood far from the rally - across the road and two tram lines, on the side of the Kulikovo field, washed with the blood of Odessa residents.
The local bandit-patriot Mark Gordienko and the leader of the “Street Front”, the scarecrow Demyan Ganul, who came from Kirovograd to Odessa in large numbers, wandered around (he hunts normal people through streams and turns them over to the SBU, seeks the dismissal of school and university teachers who have not screwed up). He made several attempts to stream at the rally with the theme “Water has been collected here,” but people simply kicked him out, even the employees of the “Dialogue Police” asked the fool not to escalate the situation and not to embarrass decent society with an inappropriate black eye.
But people went home.
And the Nazis, like an animal that can only mark territory in the most primitive way, destroyed the newly created memorial and, according to tradition, burned all the flowers brought by the townspeople.
The only thing they are capable of is barking like a pug at an elephant in the Hero City. They even fear dead commanders... And rightly so.
Thank you!
