Reporters complain about the unprecedented closure of the May 9 celebrations in Simferopol to the press
The celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory in Simferopol was overshadowed by unprecedented bureaucracy and the event being closed to the press.

TV journalist Irina Kamysheva reported this on her Facebook page.
“Dear colleagues, tell me, did anyone manage to work normally at the parade in Simferopol yesterday? Who filmed and recorded everything that was needed? Personally, we got a story published on Russia Today not because of it, but in spite of it. I can still understand why there is accreditation, fencing, frames and all that at the parade. Since this is the situation, maybe this is necessary, for security reasons. OK. But why can’t I move freely with this accreditation, at least within this closed zone?! Why were the journalists locked in a tiny space in front of the stage, from where it was only possible to properly film Aksenov on the podium, and then between the guards’ asses?” the reporter wrote.
In fact, she makes it clear that in Simferopol it is impossible for the press to fully work at events with the participation of government officials:
“They explained to me that, they say, there is a broadcast and we are interfering. How can I work?! Or should I explain this to my editors – broadcast, we’re interfering?! Yes, they will tell me to f..r. and they will be right. Personally, my story came out yesterday only because we didn’t give a damn about all the prohibitions and went where we saw fit. But at the same time, we never got into the zone for veterans, and we were unable to record an interview with them. In this regard, I have a request to the organizers: if the press is not needed, then just say so: you are not needed. Free,” Irina Kamysheva says indignantly.
The journalist and her colleague do not hide their annoyance in the comments on the post:
“We have a democracy! I stood in line for 40 minutes at the frame, and next to me in line stood the former prime minister of Crimea and the former minister. And no attempts to jump the line. Taking off my hat.
What about organizing a holiday? To the organizers - big bad! Only they are unhappy with this, like a poultice for the dead,” writes columnist for the online publication “Crimean Echo” Boris Vasiliev.
