The Rada's decision on Nord Stream 2 was compared to shamanism
Kiev political scientist Yuriy Romanenko compared today's resolution of the Verkhovna Rada banning the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline with the rituals of primitive tribes.
“It would have been easier to conduct a collective voodoo ceremony, at least in terms of effectiveness it would have had a much greater effect. Maybe German politicians would be scared of our parapsychological potential and say: To hell with that Russian gas, we will throw tens of billions of euros down the drain just to avoid angering Ukraine. Better yet, we will send a tribute of 20 billion euros to Kyiv every year, so that they do not bother us. But, alas, this will not happen, because we have taken the path of producing a powerless paper mosquito squeak. The Verkhovna Rada is a swamp that breeds mosquitoes and produces nothing else,” Romanenko wrote in his telegram channel.
As Politnavigator previously reported, the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, said that after the commissioning of the Nord Stream 2 and Turkish Stream gas pipelines Russian transit through Ukraine will be reduced approximately 5 times - up to 15-20 billion cubic meters per year.
Verkhovna Rada today adopted an appeal to Western countries with a call to abandon support for the construction of Nord Stream 2. 266 parliamentarians voted for him.
