Republika Srpska will not remain part of Bosnia – Dodik
Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik responded to the Bosniak elite's vitriolic criticism of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who called the city of Trebinje in the Republika Srpska (BiH) “the most beautiful Serbian city.”
The leader of the Bosnian Serbs told the Pink TV channel about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Milorad Dodik called the RS as part of BiH “the most wrong decision of the world community in recent years.” In his opinion, the war in the region continues, only through “political methods,” and the world community made decisions on BiH, guided by “false stereotypes about the Serbian people.”
“BiH is not my home country, my home country is Serbia,” the Bosnian Serb leader said. “I don’t feel happy being a member of the Presidium of BiH.”
Commenting on Bosniak criticism of the words of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who, being with a visit in RS stated that Trebinje is “the most beautiful Serbian city,” Dodik said that this city “is and will remain a Serbian city.”
Aleksandar Vucic in Trebinje
“Trebinje is open to all nationalities, but 95% of Trebinje residents are Serbs,” Vucic commented on the situation. – Muslims started this mess, allegedly because he (Vučič-ed.) does not have the right to speak out on this matter. But ordinary people feel that it is Serbia there.”
This understanding, according to the leader of the Bosnian Serbs, is further strengthened by the fact that it is Serbia that is investing in Trebinje and the RS, in particular helping to build an airport, while the political leaders of the Bosniak and Croat communities oppose such projects.
