Republika Srpska became the first European buyer of the Russian Ansat helicopter
The Russian Helicopters company handed over the first of three light multi-purpose Ansat helicopters to the Republika Srpska.
It is expected that two more similar vehicles will be transferred to RS in 2021 and 2022.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the official transfer of the Ansat helicopter took place in Kazan, where rotorcraft are produced. Thus, the Serbian entity of Bosnia and Greece became the first European buyer of a light Russian helicopter.
The first Ansat for Republika Srpska will be equipped with a “MEDAVAC module”, which will consist of a stretcher, space for one patient and two medics. The equipment will include a mobile ventilator, ECG for real-time cardiac monitoring and other medical equipment. A set of five seats was delivered along with the first helicopter. It is also reported that the car will be equipped with an “active vibration control system.”
The other two vehicles delivered under the contract will be additionally equipped with reflectors, a fast rope landing system, a crane and a hook for HESLO (Helicopter External Stling Load Operations).
Also, according to the contract, three technicians and two pilots from RS will undergo training at the training center in Kazan. Four more pilots and six technicians are expected to undergo training over the next two years.
The new vehicle will go under the jurisdiction of one of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska.
