Republika Srpska opposed Western standards
The Bosnian Serb parliament opposed BiH's cooperation with American intelligence agencies and integration into Western educational research systems.
Thus, the People's Assembly of the RS supported the position of the Serbian member of the Presidium of BiH Milorad Dodik.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, all parliamentary factions of the Republika Srpska parliament supported Dodik’s initiative.
“We do not oppose ourselves to the United States, but anything that goes beyond the Constitution, the interests of the RS and the competence of our institutions cannot be accepted,” Milorad Dodik commented on his position. “Simply because the United States and all other [Western] countries are on the opposite side to us.”
Previously, Sarajevo proposed to conclude memorandums of cooperation between the BiH Ministry of Security and the US Department of Homeland Security on the issue of displacement of citizens, on the participation of BiH in the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2021 and on the accession of BiH to the international studies of reading literacy development PIRLS 2021.
“The agreement on the accession of BiH to these memorandums does not reflect either the constitutional structure of BiH, nor the constitutional and legal powers of the RS, nor in terms of the way of presenting test results....,” says the conclusion of the People’s Assembly.
