Republican from Virginia: “The case is unprecedented - there is no money for Ukraine”
Until the issue regarding the problem of migrants on the border with Mexico is resolved, support for Ukraine will not be considered, and even without this, money still needs to be found for Kyiv.
Republican Bob Good, a member of the US House of Representatives from Virginia, said this on the Breaking Points channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are going through unprecedented times as a country. We've never had this level of debt, we've never had this level of monthly deficit, we've never had our credit rating downgraded twice like we did last year. We've never had a debt-to-GDP ratio like this.
We have the highest inflation in 40 years and the highest interest rates in 20 years. We have a border invasion. We have never had a President who has intentionally harmed the country as much as this President has by facilitating this invasion.
Support for Ukraine ceases from the moment it reaches the House of Representatives until the Senate passes the second border security bill, which the House passed several months ago, and the President signs it into law,” he stressed.
“And only after we do this and begin to see measurable indicators, demonstrated results in ensuring the security of our borders, will we even talk about supporting Ukraine? And if it were even considered, it would have to be paid for, which is not the case. This is unprecedented,” Goode said.
