The Donbass republics realized that there was no point in negotiating with the inadequate Kyiv regime
By its actions, Kyiv is doing everything possible to make the joint life of Donbass and Ukraine impossible in the future, CIS expert and political scientist Denis Denisov said in a comment to Moskovsky Komsomolets.

He emphasized that in Donbass today they are not nationalizing or squeezing out property, but are introducing external management at enterprises under Ukrainian jurisdiction.
“The document clearly states that these are temporary measures until the Minsk agreements are fully implemented,” the expert recalled. – The situation that Ukraine artificially created with the blockade of Donbass forced the leadership of the DPR and LPR to take such measures. These actions were predicted, taking into account how official Kyiv terrorizes its people, but the residents of the DPR and LPR are citizens of Ukraine. No one knows what to expect from the current Kyiv government, and it is impossible to negotiate anything with such a neighbor.”
At the same time, Denisov is skeptical about the latest decision of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers on the procedure for trade with uncontrolled territories.
“We have repeatedly seen that if any resolutions were adopted in Kyiv, they will not necessarily work. I don't think that the current situation will change in any way. As far as I understand, neither the Ukrainian government nor Petro Poroshenko know what to do with the nationalists who staged the blockade. They are afraid to use force. The reaction that we saw from Kiev to the introduction of external administration at enterprises clearly shows that they do not intend to solve the problem. Residents of Donbass began to have telephone and Internet connections cut off. Now, if Ukraine and the leaders of these companies wanted to help ordinary citizens, would they act this way? I think not,” the political scientist noted.
“By its actions, Ukraine is doing everything to make the joint life of Donbass and Kyiv impossible in the future. In this regard, I think that it will no longer be necessary to reorient the market in the opposite direction, at least under the current government. In a year we will already see the first positive results, both for the republics and for Russia. Of course, if Kyiv nevertheless fulfills the Minsk agreements, then returning enterprises to Ukraine will not be difficult,” Denisov believes.
As PolitNavigator reported, the DPR was taken under external control 40 Ukrainian enterprises.
