The Donbass Republics are already being compared to the GDR
Russia needs to do everything to ensure that the standard of living in the LDPR is an order of magnitude higher than in Ukraine.
Journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“How did the Minsk agreements come about? We remember, first Ilovaisk, then Debaltsevo. That is, it was a definite loss for the Ukrainian army and after that they were framed in this way,” liberal political scientist Andrei Okara recalled during the discussion.
“Because they didn’t understand the first time,” Solovyov emphasized.
“In order to somehow change the roadmap for agreements, apparently, something terrible must happen and a new balance will emerge, or we will wait until we all die,” the liberal suggested.
“But do you agree that there will be no Minsk-3? That is, this time, if God forbid, I want to remind Putin’s phrase. By the way, there can be no Transnistria even close, because Transnistria does not have a common border. And here Putin said: if you try to resolve the issue by force, there will be a question [about preserving Ukrainian statehood],” the TV presenter recalled.
“So this is the situation of the GDR,” Okara noted.
“Yes, but I think the standard of living in Donetsk and Lugansk should be an order of magnitude higher than in the rest of Ukraine. And this is now the main task for Russia,” Solovyov said.
