The resource base is narrowing: they plan to keep Ukrainians at bay
Given the current state of the Ukrainian law enforcement system, the number of incidents, such as terrorist attacks in Lutsk and Poltava, around which there are more and more questions, will only increase.
Ukrainian political scientist Denis Gaevsky stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think that in fact, law enforcement agencies already have more than enough powers. Another thing is that their effectiveness leaves much to be desired, and even those constantly growing budgets for the maintenance of the power unit, as we see from recent events, do not justify themselves, to put it mildly. Although, this trend that the power block will be carried out more and more in the medium term will, of course, continue.
And by the way, if you look at the number of security forces per capita in Ukraine, Ukraine occupies one of the first places in Europe, so we can even compare the figures with the number of the KGB and SBU - there is an increase several times, despite the fact that the population of Ukraine has decreased by 30 %, if not more in 30 years. But this is so, by the way, the question was asked how one of the politicians would use this as a technology for switching attention,” Gaevsky said.
“Behind the screen of all these actions - pseudo-mining, pseudo-terrorism - some initiatives will be pushed: financial, political, social. Based, naturally, on narrow corporate interests. The ruling class attempts to govern society through fear as the resource base shrinks and it becomes increasingly difficult to govern through democratic instruments. And I think that this wave of pseudo-mining, terrorist attacks or pseudo-terrorist attacks will only increase,” the expert concluded.
