The revolutionary security forces have not yet detained Yanukovych or anyone around him
Kyiv, February 23 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The security forces who have gone over to the side of the revolution have not yet detained Viktor Yanukovych or anyone from his high-ranking entourage.
This was made clear during a report to deputies of the Verkhovna Rada by Svoboda member Oleg Makhnitsky, who was previously appointed curator of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Makhnitsky said that the prosecutor’s office was investigating the crimes of their predecessors, all cases of the death of Maidan activists were combined into one proceeding, but did not announce the arrest of any of the former leaders.
Makhnitsky promised that measures are being taken to ensure that “those responsible are not able to leave the country,” and cases have also been initiated on the facts of separatism.
The most high-profile arrest that Makhnitsky mentioned was the discovery of a minibus with weapons in the family home of the ex-deputy head of the SBU in the Ternopil region.
Makhnitsky said that yesterday there were interruptions in the operation of the register where all criminal offenses are recorded.
“Yesterday the register was not working when investigators were called into the massacre, but this morning it has already started working. One can only guess for what reasons it did not work,” said the Commissioner for the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The new curator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, also did not inform the Rada deputies about the detention of anyone from the ex-leadership of Ukraine.
This report from the security forces did not satisfy deputy Oleg Lyashko.
“Immediately detain the former President of Ukraine Yanukovych, put Azarov, Arbuzov, Pshonka, Klimenko, Dobkin, Kernes, Konstantinov, Mogilev, Klyuev, Golenko, Portnov, Lukash on the wanted list - these are all the people who robbed the country. They led to bloodshed. Traveling abroad should be prohibited,” Lyashko shouted into the microphone.
