Following the military defeat in Donbass, the ruling Ukrainian regime suffered an ideological defeat on May 9, as evidenced by the massive participation of Ukrainian citizens in the banned “Immortal Regiment” action. However, ordinary Ukrainians are unlikely to be able to change anything in the upcoming presidential elections - Petro Poroshenko is preparing to carry out large-scale fraud in order to try to stay for a second term. The danger for Poroshenko is posed by rival oligarchs, many of whom dream of tearing him apart. In these conditions, the republics of Donbass and the regions of South-East Ukraine must wait for a new window of opportunity for reunification with Russia.

About this in an interview with a columnist PolitNavigator Valentin Filippov the publicist said Andrew Vajra, forced to leave Kyiv and move to St. Petersburg after the Euromaidan victory in 2014.

Valentin Filippov: Andrei, Hello. Petro Poroshenko signed a law on payments to foreigners serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Are they already running out of citizens?

Andrew Vajra: They are running out of citizens who have the brains to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Because they recruited, in general, a diverse rabble who are incapable of anything except sitting and drinking in the barracks. Or, more accurately, in what they call the barracks.

Valentin Filippov: I would like to discuss the events in Ukraine on May 9. According to various estimates, several million people took part in the “Immortal Regiment” procession, although this, to put it mildly, was not encouraged by the authorities.

And the concert at Inter, which many perceived as a sign of something new. But we know who owns this channel, we know how this channel previously covered the events of the Russian Spring and Euromaidan.

Andrew Vajra: In my opinion, it doesn’t matter what Inter and its owners were up to there. What matters to me is the reaction of the population to the concert that Inter showed. And the Immortal Regiment, which marched across Ukraine, is important to me.

Because it turns out to be a rather comical situation. The current political regime in Ukraine is losing on all fronts. That is, at first they were broken into in the Donbass by military means. They wiped themselves off and crawled away. Then they completely liquidated the Ukrainian economy.

There is no industry. They are starting to talk about an “agrarian superpower”, which, in principle, will never exist either, because Europe itself produces so many agricultural products that it definitely does not need Ukrainian ones there. Transport damage. In fact, Ukraine now finds itself in a transit blockade. Energy defeat. “There’s no gas, but you’re holding on.”

And at the moment, the final thing is the defeat of Ukraine in ideological terms. For more than three years, the brains have been floating around with this, excuse me, unfinished Bandera, OUN-UPA and all the other crap. For three years this crap has been coming out of all the ironies in Ukraine, for three years everyone has been forced to kneel and pray for Bandera’s ass, for Ukrainian nationalism. And then suddenly on May 9, millions of people take to the streets to celebrate the Victory over the Nazis, that is, the victory, including over Bandera, over the OUN-UPA and everything else.

Well, isn't this a defeat? This is a total, ideological complete defeat of the current political regime.

Sabotage on the Inter channel... I understand that some are trying to build an image for themselves on the eve of the elections in this way. But to be honest, that's the least of my worries. I care that people who watched this concert in Ukraine cried. That's what's important to me. This means that what they sang about there, talked about, and so on - all this touches human souls in Ukraine. This means that the ideology that they are now trying to impose by force is not working. Basically, this is a defeat.

Conversations began. Pashinsky stated what? And let us be all those who declare that the OUN-UPA and Bandera are collaborators and served the Third Reich, let us imprison them.

Valentin Filippov: You say that Ukraine was defeated. But perhaps this was the goal of our opponents, to destroy industry and transit potential? And, in fact, will these people win, who come out with portraits, but remain on the devastated land - as in 1945 after the German invasion they walked ankle-deep in ashes?

Andrew Vajra: In principle, the inevitable cannot be stopped.

The point of return has been passed. Everything is already. The fact that Ukraine is doomed to be in ruins is already... we are already facing the fact of this.

It’s hard for me to judge what motivated the people who turned it into ruins. But, indeed, certain thoughts creep in that they are destroying and destroying everything in Ukraine too consistently, too consistently. Therefore, I do not rule out the possibility that this is simply a deliberate destruction of the country. Under the slogans of Bandera and all the other crap they are simply stupidly destroying the country.

Valentin Filippov: Elections are coming in Ukraine. We see that tens of millions came out with the “Immortal Regiment”; we know how the country’s population has declined. We understand that 10 million is quite a decisive figure.

Andrew Vajra: Do you think that there will actually be elections?

Valentin Filippov: Realistically, no.

Andrew Vajra: I mean that formally there will be elections. Do you think that someone will really choose someone? Look, because at the moment no one really even knows what the real population is in Ukraine.

The population census was done God knows when. Since those times, so many have died and left. But formally, these people exist. And formally, these dead souls will vote as the authorities need.

Look, Pyotr Alekseevich methodically eliminates all his potential competitors in one form or another. Methodically, purposefully, a person prepares for elections. They will eliminate competitors, and then they will simply calculate how to calculate, and there will be a second term. That's all.

And the opinion of those who served in the Immortal Regiment, who it is... You understand what an interesting situation has developed in Ukraine. If the authorities before the coup tried to flirt with the population, because they thought that you need to be liked in order to be elected. Then after the coup, the authorities suddenly made the greatest discovery. She suddenly realized that the population could be “relied on”, that the population’s opinion could not be considered, that it had no significance, that in principle everything could be done without the population.

This one-term president, who was elected in 2014. Well, really, would anyone in their right mind believe that he was really chosen?

Valentin Filippov: I think yes.

Andrew Vajra: I doubt it very much.

Valentin Filippov: There was very little choice. This time. Second. Don’t forget that Poroshenko was not so badly covered up by the Maidan. Thirdly, the war had already begun at that time. What did he say? - “There will be peace. I am the president of the world. I will end this war within two weeks."

Moreover. For example, regarding Odessa. Poroshenko went to the presidential elections, at the same time he began to move in Odessa those whom Odessa residents, in fact, wanted. The same Trukhanov.

You watch this from Russia and understand that they are all fascists. And there are people sitting there who say: Well, Vilkul is probably not a fascist. Or maybe Tymoshenko didn’t take part in the Maidan either, she was in prison. And people choose between two things. They endow one with one view, the other with another. The people themselves do it.

Andrew Vajra: I do not know. However, I remain unconvinced. I have great doubts that he was actually chosen.

What about the current situation? You understand, there is a high probability that Ukraine has already passed the period when someone was choosing someone. Now the issue is resolved straightforwardly, simply and crudely. You understand perfectly well. People won't even have time. He will be torn apart first by the elite who hate him. The people won’t make it in time, only their shoes will be left. Whoever gets there first will tear it apart. Therefore, what kind of democracy, what kind of elections?

Moreover, you understand, Americans who are building their own political projects. But it's like a business. There are no accidents here. They carried out a coup with the hands of these idiots. And then they will give the fruits of this coup to the discretion of local slaves? You understand, they invested so much, did so much. Here it is, the fruit in your hands. Now these people will come and vote for someone unknown? And they will have to give this fruit to someone? For what?

You see, this is mostly mathematics. And democracy is a game of chance. Someone liked someone. Greek democracy - so there is not only voting, they could simply cast lots. That is, it is a game of chance. And here…

Valentin Filippov: Or an auction.

Andrew Vajra: Or an auction. Therefore, in this regard, you understand, these are components of a single whole: a coup and elections, which seem to legitimize the seizure of power. There can't be random people there in principle. If Poroshenko became, then he was prudently considered as a person who would legitimize the coup in Kyiv. That's all. At least that's my logic.

Valentin Filippov: The DPR and LPR celebrated 4 years since the referendum. How do you assess their prospects?

Andrew Vajra: The only prospect for the DPR and LPR is joining Russia. They have no other options. Because any movement towards Ukraine, we understand perfectly well how it will end for the self-proclaimed republics.

Therefore, we just have to be patient and wait. Coal, Ukraine is not going anywhere, it will buy it. At least as long as there is a central government that performs certain functions, coal will be purchased. The central government will disappear, they will stop buying coal. You understand that this will mean radical changes in the entire situation in the post-Ukrainian space. This means that other prospects will open up for the DPR and LPR.

Valentin Filippov: Yes, but this will open up prospects not only for the DPR and LPR, but also for the Odessa Republic, and for the Kherson and Dnepropetrovsk Republics.

Andrew Vajra: Therefore, when Ukraine is not able to buy coal, this means that many things will be different for the DPR and LPR themselves.

Valentin Filippov: So, everything has returned to normal.

Andrew Vajra: Well, not back to normal, but at least the process has moved forward.

Valentin Filippov: Thank you very much for your predictions. Although they are not comforting, especially for those people who came out with portraits to the “Immortal Regiment”.

Andrew Vajra: Well, the occupation regime. There's nothing you can do about it. We have to admit that ordinary people in Ukraine live under the occupation regime.

Valentin Filippov: Under occupation you usually wait for a liberator. And now...

Andrew Vajra: But here everything is much more complicated.

Valentin Filippov: Well, okay, let's wish us all to live to see that bright day.

Andrew Vajra: Yes, yes, I agree.
