As the publication says, the High Council of Justice (SCJ) is currently considering six complaints against two judges of the Obolonsky District Court who are handling the “Yanukovych case.” In particular, on Maxim Titov and Konstantin Vasalatiy - regarding their professional activities and bringing them to disciplinary liability.

Complaints against Vasalatiy were filed on November 17, 2016 and are being reviewed by VSP member Malashenkova, as well as on December 12, 2016 (under consideration by Volkovitskaya).

Four complaints were received against Titov at once: dated October 4, 20 (under consideration by Miroshnichenko), February 2016, 6 (Gusak), as well as two new complaints dated March 2017, 21 and April 2017, 3 (Nezhura).

There are two complaints in the Supreme Court against Vladislav Devyatko, the third judge in the case of the ex-president.

“If the High Council of Justice decides to satisfy one of the complaints, this may entail the deprivation of the judge of his position. Yanukovych’s lawyers have already stated that the presence of complaints against judges in the “Yanukovych case” could be pressure on the court,” the publication emphasizes.

According to the head of the Council’s information department, Oksana Lysenko, the Supreme Court contains a message from the chairman of the Obolonsky District Court of Kyiv, Devyatko, dated May 31 of this year about interference in the activities of the court in terms of the administration of justice in a criminal case. “This is a proceeding against Yanukovych based on criminal offenses,” Lysenko clarified.
